Rhapsodic (Musical) Musings

Greetings dear readers! I keep putting off actually starting a blog because…..well have you heard of that thing called perfectionism-procrastination complex? Well I struggle with that, and I’ve just decided to commit to the idea that most things worth pursuing are 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration. So please bear with me as I recklessly jump overboard and swim in the open waters, blogging about all things piano, online teaching, life as a musician.

To get to more specifics, my journey with online piano teaching the last couple of years - abruptly kickstarted by my work as a university teaching assistant during the 2020 lockdowns - has been one of challenge and discovery. Despite the difficulties and tragedies of the situation, I emerged with hope for the future of music education through virtual lessons. So I want to share my insights and practical advice for both piano mentors and learners on how to take advantage the relatively newer format of online lessons and how they can be a formidable complement to traditional arrangements.

Other than that, those who know me, appreciate (or perhaps are annoyed by) my diverse (scattered) thoughts on all things involved in studying, teaching, and performing piano. So please stay tuned for some great content coming soon.

Cheers!
